When Will I Receive My Order
This is one of our most commonly asked questions – and also the most difficult to answer as parts of the process depend on you, the customer.
Step One - You need to submit the online order and then forward all needed information (the program text in a MS Word document or .rtf or .txt file, any photograph(s) if ordering a photo program) to us. Remember to use plain, readable fonts (such as times new roman or arial) and don’t try to format the text, simply tell us what it should say. It’s fine to add notes in regarding preferences of alignment or type styles, but please keep it simple and let our professional typesetters will do the work for you!
Step Two – The proofing process; this generally takes a couple of business days, though, depending on how many orders we have in house and your wedding date, this can take a couple extra business days.
Customers sometimes ask why their wedding date matters in the proofing process and the answer is simple – if your wedding is 3 months away and another bride is getting married next weekend, we will often put her order ahead of yours. By the same token, if yours is the one that is time critical, you’ll get bumped up in the queue as well. Rest assured your order won’t be forever delayed, but please don’t panic if your proof takes a couple extra days.
Step Three – We send you a proof via email. Please remember to check your spam folder periodically if you are waiting on an email from us. Sadly, virtually no one is immune from being tagged as spam these days. Especially in the hotmail, yahoo, gmail and other free web mail services we can end up filtered out.
Step Four – You review the proof and submit your changes, corrections or approval. This is where you are the star! Customers don’t realize what an important role they play in this step. By carefully reviewing the proof and listing all of your changes and corrections neatly and ordering in one email we can efficiently fix any errors and send you a reproof as quickly as possible.
The best way to send your corrections is per the example below. Please list the location of the change (cover, front, back, inside left, etc) and group all of the changes in that location together. Please number the changes and list the mistake as well as the correction.
Front Cover
1. Bride’s last name is mispelled – change Jonse to Jones
2. Spell out month in wedding date – change 6 to June
Inside Left
3. First reader’s name is wrong – change Mary Smith to Susan Jones
Back Cover
4. Add one name to the “In Memory Of” section – after John Doe add Mary Doe
Step 5 – You’ve submitted your changes, now we reproof. This normally takes less time than the original proof but please allow a day or two. Steps 3, 4 & 5 will repeat as often as needed until you are ready to approve printing. This is where you play the most crucial role – by having other people help you proof read and by submitting all of your changes in a clear and consise way we can cut down on the number of reproofs needed.
Step 6 – You’re now approved printing and the presses are rolling! The actual printing varies by product but is generally from 1 to 5 business days.
Turnaround and shipping times are estimates only, and refunds or partial refunds are not given for shipping.
If time is of the essence, we highly encourage you to make note of that prior to, or at the time of, ordering so that we can do everything possible to expedite your order. We can often times make suggestions for alternative ways of saving time.
